The site is up and you can register for the forums. I assume it's still under construction.

As for costs, lets see who's willing to donate money before we start throwing cash at acx. I'm good for $50+ but it looks like we might only need ~20 or even less each.

I can pitch in 10-15$. Not going to break my bank just yet.

I can pitch in some money, diablohc would be the hc headquarters of all the d3 sites.

Whatever the approach I can probably pitch in about 10 to 15 bucks as well. Im kind of confused about what everyone wants the site to become. A large forum or a large forum AND a resource site?

Also I have a personal Ventrilo for anyone who wants to use it. I'm willing to let all DZONERS come on and use it for playing and pking or what not. I'll upgrade it to a 100 man vent later though. Let me know if you are interested.

I think you need to add some different forums and make it so threads don't need moderator approval so we can dick around until things are finalized =)

yeah add some features like the clan section like we once had. it didnt really work that well here but its still a cool feature.
and maybe a page to help ppl new to hc, like tips from the oldskoolers. it would be cool if u could take every 1's post count and transfer it to the new site. Id hate for a nub to be #1 on our post ladder by spamming the site.

I actually have a 75-person ventrillo server I have been running for the last year and a half. I use it for Gheki's and mine WoW guild, as well as my friends in Team Fortress 2. There is still plenty of room to spare for a group of 15 of us from here. Its based out of Chicago so the ping is good and I've only had one outage in the past 1.5 years. It's currently set for a apple/pc friendly codec so any of you should be able to check it out. I'd be more than happy to make it ours for D3.

We have a full server at my office we could use for a vent server if we want too. That way we wouldn't have to pay for it, we have a dedicated T-1 and probably use about 1/5th of its bandwidth.

Once we get up and running I'll look into modifying post counts over there (if that's what everyone wants).

i sent 25$ over as well and can add if we need anything. i like the idea of making diablohc and then in 6 months or so trying to buy dzone from rick after our traffic here has stopped so the add revenue should drop significantly.
